Subject: Incomplete but better-sounding source, Setlist changes, Out of tune Tonight Tonight
This is the better of the two recordings of this performance, but is unfortunately incomplete. A standard performance, with some setlist changes. Billy's voice is a little bit weak at the beginning but improves as the show goes on. After this show the band would travel to the MTV Europe VMAs, and then would get immediately back on a plane to resume the tour.
This recording is the first to feature the setlist additions of Jellybelly (also played the night before - but no recording circulates), Lily, and Galapogos. Although it's nice to hear the different songs, none of these would become permanent parts of the set, and none of them are particularly standout performances. Of the three, it's Galapogos which fits the best in the set, which probably makes sense for why it lasted the longest, getting played through December. The song is nice to hear, as it breaks up some of the monotony of the bombast-driven and doom-heavy set that the band was doing on this tour. Jellybelly would be dropped after this show (a prime example of Jimmy's drumming being irreplaceable), only getting a couple more tries later in the tour, and Lily would also only be played a few more times.
Apart from the setlist changes, it's still a pretty standard runthrough of the MCIS setlist with no other surprises save for the extremely out of tune keyboards on Tonight, Tonight.
